This is a timely initiative created to alivate the challenges that face Igbo women and Mothers before during and after pregnacy. These challenges include poverty, Lack of medical facilities for safe delivery Tradition/belief, Lack of Proper orientation Lack of programmes /structures and decrees to fight for the rights of mothers
Being a mother is an excitement and enticement and
a growth. It is the possibility that haunts and delights
any young girl as she grows to womanhood.
It is a part of the fantasy, both her longing for it and
her fear of it. The months of pregnancy highlight all
the richness of the remembered and internalized
experience about mothering.
The birth itself brings forth the baby, until now a
fantasy, into reality. This real baby is a constant
changing, crying, knowing being, and for the delight
of this experience has been one of the most
important parts of the life of a women.
MATCH is a multi purpose programme aimed
at assisting/educating igbo Mothers and mothers to
be, to have well laid out plans ready equipped
for safe delivery and good health.

As part of the concept that forms MATCH, there would
be a special bank product formed to work with a Micro
finance bank specially and only for pregnant women and
mothers.
• The account helps mothers to save for their unborn
babies and the process includes saving to a target amount
of money and the mother who must be a member of
MATCH would be given a loan, to help relieve of unseen
expenditure.
• Mothers who are also members of MATCH are legible to
apply for the loan to assist in the catering of the children’s
health, education and feeding.
This would be a group of concerned citizens who care
and value life, with the sole aim of preserving,protecting,
and providing for mothers.
• It would lead to a database of pregnant women
networking/educating/assisting one another and providing
for less privileged women like themselves in Igbo states
• It would serve the purpose of group outreach : hence
after each interactive session, members can spread
themselves out to help other mothers in need.
• It would in time Affiliate and work with other similar
organizations outside Igbo states
This is for pregnant women across all Igbo states
It includes drugs, exercise, counseling , clothing
and other incentives to assist the mothers through
the joy of mother hood
Set up the first pregnancy TV show that highlights and answers question arising from pregnancy and family health issues.
•Have on the show a discussion forum on which each episode
would features personalities and women of substance as they
come aboard to talk on issues bothering on safe motherhood.
•To use the show as a medium to spread information, technology, and insights to different topics that affect and interest the raising of a home.
•Feature on each episode of the show an a mother after random selection on whose mum would you like to see?
•Feature model Mother and child on each episode, also have a
weekly episode of whose mum next? In which celebrities and
individuals of repute will have their mums in a one on one
interview with the host of the show
This would be a well designed, glossy print and content
rich Magazine printed quarterly to highlight issues
bothering on good health, mother and the child, Family
and society related issues.
• The magazine would educate family/pregnant women on
their rights, how to exercise, what to eat and people to
meet when pregnant.
• It would be used as a a link to members and non
members as it would be used to advertise the organization
• The magazine would form content for online newsletters
that would be sent daily to members email addresses
The MATCH AWARDS is an annual event to show
recognition, appreciation and encouragement to
women of substance who has displayed sympathy,
compassion, selflessness, courage, heroism, empathy,
moral fibre, kindness, communal responsibility, service,
dedication, commitment to the the plight of pregnant
women and unprivileged mothers in the society
• The MATCH awards will be given to individuals who
have taken up the plight to save destitute mothers and
babies by giving them a feeling of belonging and love
The scheme will be a key CSR project for a Bank to
show how passionately they care for the family which
is the smallest and first unit of the society.
Helping mothers and women in general are very key
and sensitive issues because the female gender
issues easily bring in international recognition and
grants.
The Bank will get an award for humanity for
this grand project .
The main Bank will work with a microfinance bank on
the MATCh account hence creating a deposit base for
the bank.
